Cuatro trabajos de periodistas españoles figuran entre los 10 finalistas en las categorías de Mejor Columna y Mejor Reportaje de los Premios AIPS Media que se fallarán el próximo día 21 en Lausanne.
El periodismo deportivo español ha obtenido ya, al margen de la decisión final, al situar dos columnas y dos reportajes, entre los mejores del mundo, durante el pasado año. Joaquín Maroto, de AS y Sergio Heredia, de La Vanguardia, están entre los 10 mejores columnistas deportivos del año. España es el único país que ha clasificado dos trabajos entre los 10 mejores del mundo.
En el apartado de reportajes, los trabajos, nuevamente, Sergio Heredia, de La Vanguardia, y José Ignacio Pérez, de Marca, están en la lista de los 10 mejores del mundo, en esta especialidad. España, también, junto a Alemania, es el único país, que ha conseguido incluir dos reportajes, entre los 10 mejores publicados en todo el mundo, durante el pasado año. Otro trabajo de Marca y otro publicado por El País, también han estado en la lista de los 20 mejores, en esta modalidad.
Se da la circunstancia de que Sergio Heredia es el único periodista que tiene dos trabajos finalistas en las dos categorías de la prensa escrita.
En la categoría de series de fotos, otro trabajo realizado en España, sobre la Volvo Ocean Race, cuyo autor es Brian Carlin, también está en el top 10 de esta modalidad.
El pasado 27 de diciembre, la AIPS anunció los 10 finalistas, en cada categoría, de la primera edición de los Premios AIPS Sport Media.
La primera edición de los Premios AIPS recibió un total excepcional de 1273 trabajos de 119 países, de todo el mundo. Al enviar su trabajo para ser considerado en las ocho categorías, colegas de todo el mundo participaron en un diálogo de excelencia deportiva. Este diálogo es crucial para resaltar la importancia de los medios deportivos y la necesidad de invertir en su cultura e independencia.
Las 10 mejores presentaciones representan la altura de la narración deportiva en todas sus formas, representando a 35 países y 16 idiomas.
Con base a la votación del jurado de los AIPS Sport Media Awards, del que ha formado parte, en la fase de selección de los 20 mejores, el vicepresidente de la AEPD, Juan Antonio Prieto, los tres finalistas de cada modalidad, se anunciarán el 2 de enero de 2019. Todos ellos (24) serán invitados a asistir a la ceremonia de entrega de premios AIPS Sport Media que se llevará a cabo en el Hotel Beau Rivage Palace en Lausana, el 21 de enero próximo
